D38 Aluche - Enrique Gran. Reply to some accusations by Sesma.

UMMOAELEWE

Language Spanish

Mr Fernando Sesma SPAIN

Mr Sesma Manzano:

You have addressed to us a CRITICISM concerning a past event which could be misinterpreted, consequently provoking reticent attitudes and unfounded suspicions.

We beg you to extend an invitation to Mr Gran (Enrique) to compare his version with ours. We trust in the high honour of that Gentleman and in his objective spirit, which will no doubt confirm with his reply the truthfulness of our account.

You insinuate, Mr Sesma Manzano, invoking your critical spirit, that our invitation to Mr Gran to hold a direct interview with one of our brothers “WAS AN EASY CARD TO PLAY” (your expression) since:

“ON A NIGHT WHEN IT WAS POURING WITH RAIN, IT WAS NOT LIKELY THAT A PERSON WOULD VENTURE TO GO TO A CAFÉ, AND THEN ATTEND AN INTERVIEW WITH A STRANGER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COUNTRYSIDE”.

Mr Sesma:

When certain inaccuracies are inserted, even without malice and inadvertently, in the middle of exact statements; GREAT HARM CAN BE DONE, WHEN, AS IN THIS CASE, THE VERSION BECOMES STRONGLY POLARISED.

The most innocuous and aseptic event can become sensational by changing a few words. The most favourable testimony towards a person or social entity can become a serious accusation by slightly varying the modulation of the voice.

We know that this time, as is usual with you, you did not act with malice or with the intention of discrediting us. We do not accuse you, nor do we feel offended. We merely invoke the right to defend ourselves.

We therefore solemnly summon you, though without any kind of coercion, to:

1st Read this version privately to Mr Enrique Gran, residing at Calle Conde de Peñalver no. 20, Tel. 2751673, Madrid.

2nd Invite Mr Gran to one of your meetings of the Society of Friends of Space.

3rd Read the present report before those present, omitting, if Mr Gran so requests for reasons of privacy, his address details.

4th We beg Mr Gran in turn to relate the facts from his own point of view, objectively refuting those points which he in conscience considers to be in disagreement with you or with us.

5th If, despite everything, Mr Gran were to disagree with our account as far as he is concerned, WE, RESPECTFULLY AND ALTHOUGH WE WOULD FEEL HURT BY WHAT WE WOULD JUDGE AN INJUSTICE, request from here that ample credit be given to his statements, accepting his arbitration in advance.

OFFICIAL VERSION OF THE SPANISH SECTION OF THE UMMOAELEWE DELEGATION ON AYOUUDA OOYAGAA.

On the sixth of February of the Earth year 1966, one of our OAWOOLEEA UEWA OEMM (SPACECRAFT) landed at a place near the road linking Settlement C of Aluche with the Casilda de Bustos estate (MADRID).

Two of our brothers came down from it, with a subsequent destination in our section of the Republic of Chile.

Waiting for the travellers in a car parked nearby were the Head of our Spanish Section, Dei 98 son of Dei 97, and one of our brothers posted in South America: GOAWAA 541 son of GOAWAA 540, who had come expressly from Bolivia.

Our brothers on the craft, who carried complete instructions dictated to them at the request of this Council on planet Earth, left, on coming down, scattered over the area marked out by the tracks of the vehicle, some capsules containing a colloidal suspension of graphite in methanol, inside which had been placed some rolled sheets containing a double message.

These sheets, of an ashen green colour, are made of AOXIBOO AGOODAA (it would be advisable for Mr Sesma to show the specimen he keeps in his possession). It is a compound unknown to you, although some other specimens have fallen into the hands of the Soviet, British, Australian, United States and Bolivian governments.

Note that its resemblance to normal terrestrial plastics is only apparent. It offers great tensile strength (you can test this by trying to tear it by hand) and resists the dissolving action of many chemical agents. It has the extraordinary property that it can be made radioactive, emitting after its excitation simple coded pulses (For example: a frequency of 40 pulses per second) in gamma radiation of wavelength 0.036 Ångström (we enclose a sample, which may also be kept by Mr Sesma).

These messages had been prepared with some inscriptions in our language, activating them as indicated in the paragraph above (at another secret frequency) with a very short period of activity (some 70 days, after which the residual radioactivity is almost imperceptible).

We expected the technical services of the Spanish government Administration to send their specialists to the landing site and take away those capsules, as has happened in other countries. For our part, we have sensitive UAXOO IBOAYAA (RADIATION DETECTORS) equipment here on Earth, which allows us to follow step by step the exact location of those messages for as long as their radioactive period lasts. We would thus have monitored the handling to which those documents would have been subjected as they passed through different laboratories and bodies.

But that is not what happened: The landing area was neither cordoned off nor isolated, and not a single specialist seems (according to our reports) to have been sent there. All the capsules were picked up by children, except one found by a man who is a bricklayer by trade and works on some buildings near the site of the event.

Since those documents fell into uninterested hands, we chose at first to try to recover them, which we managed only partially.

One of them ended up in the hands of Mr Enrique Gran, a painter by profession. It seems that a lady whose children had picked it up, either because she was a friend of that gentleman, or because she knew him to be interested in this matter, or for other reasons unknown to us, sent the contents of the capsule to Mr Gran.

At that time, some statements by this painter had appeared in the Spanish press (specifically in the newspaper Informaciones of Saturday 12 February 1966) which caught our attention, since the only way we have of learning that an Earth man is interested in space matters is the country's own press. According to the writer of that newspaper, the statements were:

“I believe in the existence of flying saucers. Yes: I also believe in the testimony of absolutely serious people”.

“It is thrilling to see a mark produced by an extraterrestrial device”.

After finding out by our own means his address and telephone number, we began the first telephone contact with him.

From the very first moment, Mr Gran showed himself reticent and reserved towards the anonymous call from our brother and Head DEI 98. A perfectly logical stance for someone who intelligently does not accept the mere testimony of some strangers without proof to back it up.

Mr Gran then referred to the document that had come into his possession, stating that he had received it from a lady who was, according to him, “unknown”.

For reasons not unconnected with the precautions we must take in our communications with you, we had to interrupt the call two or three times.

It was then that we asked to meet him that same night of 15 February, in a particular CAFÉ in Madrid's Calle de Isaac Peral, in order to receive the said document from his hands. We would have had no objection to rewarding Mr Gran for his kindness.

Mr Gran nobly agreed to hand it over to us, but politely confessed that the whole thing seemed to him a joke and that naturally he was not prepared to submit to it.

Our brother hinted to him that, if that was so, we preferred to break off all contact with him from then on. We have no right to disturb the private life of a man if he maintains the view that our identity is false.

Mr Gran suggested that in any case the interview might be held at a place specified by him, which our head refused.

Mr Gran, we repeat, thus adopted in this matter a perfectly logical and correct conduct. If he refused to meet our brother, no reaction of cowardice or even of groundless fear can be imputed to him.

He was talking with strangers, who might indeed be amusing themselves at his expense with this supposed joke, and if his requests to arrange the contact at another place known to him were not accepted, there was already sufficient reason to sense something strange in our conduct.

The night was indeed unpleasant and it was raining (BUT IT IS INCORRECT TO APPLY THE VERB TO POUR DOWN, AS MR SESMA MANZANO SEEMS TO SUGGEST).

But our brother NEVER ASKED TO BEGIN THE INTERVIEW IN ANY SOLITARY AREA OF THE COUNTRYSIDE, which would indeed constitute a TRUE AND COMPELLING reason to hold back, any sensible person flatly refusing such a request, BUT AT A VERY WELL-KNOWN ESTABLISHMENT, IN A NON-SUBURBAN DISTRICT, and LOCATED IN AN IMPORTANT STREET. Full, moreover, at that hour of respectable people, as you yourselves can verify.

The interview was to be attended by our brother GOAWAA 541 son of GOAWAA 540, who two days later would leave for America with the newcomers from UMMO, and whom Mr Gran would therefore be unable to identify in the immediate future.

By this last remark we do not wish to suggest any distrust of Mr Gran, whom we suppose incapable of betraying us, but to point out to you the strict security rules we must routinely adopt if we wish to preserve our anonymity. We are obliged to follow them by order of our sister, even though the circumstances involve a minimal probability of risk. Mr Gran cannot know to what extent our organisation forbids us (once a plan has been arranged) to modify it at will without blind submission to the guidelines of our superiors.

Let Mr Gran acknowledge that the interview did not involve excessive “RISK” for him, apart from what might derive from the sense of ridicule in the event of its being a mere joke.

The two stances (TO ACCEPT or TO HOLD BACK) Were therefore intelligent and sensible. As the hypothesis of a JOKE or the REACTION OF A MADMAN could not be ruled out at all, Mr Enrique Gran adopted the latter attitude, and nobody has the right to reproach him for it if, in judging him, they act with impartial objectivity.

OUR CRITICISM CENTRES ON THE FACT THAT IT WAS IN NO WAY SUGGESTED TO MR GRAN THAT HE SHOULD CONTACT US IN A SOLITARY PLACE, AND THAT THAT NIGHT WAS NOT SO UNPLEASANT AS TO PREVENT SUCH AN INTERVIEW, AS IS PROVED BY THE FACT THAT DURING THOSE HOURS MR GRAN REMAINED AWAY FROM HIS HOME.

The inaction of the technical authorities of Spain disappointed us so much that we gave up collecting those documents. What is more: we sincerely wish that they should not come into their hands, so we suggest to Mr Sesma that he should not part with a document that will serve him in the future to bear witness to the incomprehensible blindness of those who, without carrying out a prior investigation, hasten to deny “a priori” facts which, once verified with a critical spirit, could shed light for them on many things so far incomprehensible to you.
